Fakeer. Mahomed, a healthy looking Mahomedan boy, about twelve years of age, was admitted into hospital on the 2nd June, 1864, with compound fracture of the lower end of left humerus, about two inches above the condyles, caused by a fali from a lofty tree, seven days ago. He lias been brought by train to Calcutta from the Mofussil. On removing the bandages and splints, which consisted of strips of cloth, rope, and twigs tightly hound around the injured limb, it is found, from the site of fracture to the finger ends, to be in a state of complete sphacelus.
